Registration is free but required. The deadline for registration is November 5

Please read the instructions below carefully before registering.

Abstract for scientific posters: if you indicate that you wish to submit an abstract at registration, you will receive an email after registration with instructions. You will have until October 30th to submit it. Details about poster presentations are available at the bottom of this page.

Registration

CTRN members must connect to the CTRN site to register for the day.

If you are a researcher member of the CTRN, you already have an account (see tab “members > regular researchers”)

Connect to the site here: https://neuro.ulaval.ca/user

If you have forgotten your password, use this link to reset it: https://neuro.ulaval.ca/en/user/password

You are a member (student, post-doctoral intern or research professional) but do not have an account on the CTRN site?

Please click here to request an account creation.

Please note that all account requests must be approved by an administrator prior to account activation and access to the form. During the Research Day registration period, we will try to be very quick to approve requests but please allow up to 48 hours on business days to avoid unpleasant surprises.

It is very important to use an email address from Université Laval or your research center to create your profile. Any other email address will be ignored.

If you are a student or trainee of a regular member (see section of the site on members for the complete list) or a staff member reporting to one or more of our members, you are automatically a CTRN member. You can read the “CTRN member types” section for more information.

If in doubt, do not hesitate to write to mireille.massouh@neuro.ulaval.ca

You are not a CTRN member?

If you are not a CTRN member, write an email to mireille.massouh@neuro.ulaval.ca to register for the Day.

You are not a CTRN member if you are a researcher who is not officially a member of the CTRN, if you are the representative of a sponsor, if you are a student or trainee of a non-member researcher, etc,

On the other hand, if you are a student or trainee of a regular member (see section of the site on members for the complete list) or a staff member reporting to one or more of our members, you are automatically CTRN member. You can read the “CTRN member types” section for more information.

If in doubt, do not hesitate to write to mireille.massouh@neuro.ulaval.ca

INFORMATION ABOUT SCIENTIFIC POSTERS

PRESENTATIONS NOVEMBER 10: The virtual conference format chosen will allow for a science poster presentation session very similar to the in-person format. Each person wishing to present a poster must be in front of their virtual poster during the designated period. Each poster will have its own virtual space allowing a small number of people to visit at a time. Visitors will be able to easily walk around from poster to poster and ask questions.

FORMAT FOR NOVEMBER 10: To adjust to new realities, the requested format will be in the form of 5 Powerpoint slides. During the November 10 session, you will be able to present in a screenshot mode and chat with those who come to your poster. You will need to have your Powerpoint Presentation (without pre-recorded narration) available locally on your computer to present. However, for evaluations, you must submit your presentation with audio in advance. See “POSTER EVALUATION” below.

PRIZES: There will be an award ceremony similar to other years. So this is a good opportunity for students to add a line to their CV at this time when opportunities are scarce.

ABSTRACT: A summary is still required (like in other years) to direct guests to the posters that interest them. Information for abstract submission is detailed below and on the submission form. A link will be sent to you after your registration to access the submission form. You can also access this form through a “Summaries” tab in the menu, visible only when you are connected to the site with your username. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is Friday, October 30.

1. Abstracts can be written in French or English.
2. The total length of the abstract, including spaces, is a maximum of 2500 characters.
3. The title should not contain an abbreviation.
4. The “authors” section must contain, in CAPITAL letters, the full name (family name followed by the first name) of the first author (presenter), then in lowercase, the names and first names of the other authors, the research center or department. involved. Do not mention the titles and responsibilities of the authors.
5. The body of the summary should be written in a single block, so no line breaks or spaces.
6. Each section of the summary should be identified by the words in CAPITAL LETTER: OBJECTIVE, METHODS, RESULTS, CONCLUSION.
7. Abstracts should not contain references or acknowledgments.
8. RE-READ your abstract once inserted in the form and make sure that the special characters are still present, if necessary.

POSTER EVALUATION: For the evaluation, you will have to provide a narrated Powerpoint (with audio) before November 5. It is these pre-recorded presentations that will be evaluated. There will be no evaluation on November 10. The PowerPoint must have a maximum of 5 slides and 5 minutes of presentation (recorded voice). In order to allow an acceptable file size, we ask that you record your audio directly in Powerpoint as shown below. (without video)
