2025-05-15 - 2025-05-16
CONSORTIUM FOR THE EARLY IDENTIFICATION OF ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE – QUEBEC
THE CIMA-Q PROJECT
The Consortium for the Early Identification of Alzheimer’s Disease – Quebec (CIMA-Q) is a longitudinal, multicenter, and cross-sectoral study aiming to better understand Alzheimer’s disease by identifying progression trajectories as well as factors of protection and vulnerability. Its ultimate goal? To improve early diagnosis and identify new prevention targets.
THE CIMA-Q COHORT: AN INVALUABLE RESOURCE FOR ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE RESEARCH
Since 2015, CIMA-Q has been periodically collecting sociodemographic, clinical, neuropsychological, neuropsychiatric, neuroimaging data, as well as biological samples from a cohort of over 420 participants aged 65 and older—with or without cognitive complaints, or living with Alzheimer’s disease.
AN EXCEPTIONAL DATABASE AND BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE COLLECTION
The CIMA-Q database and sample collection are made freely available to the entire research community, for the benefit of patients and the broader public. To date, thousands of data points and samples are accessible, making the CIMA-Q Biobank a unique and essential resource to accelerate Alzheimer’s disease discoveries.
A DRIVER OF INNOVATION AND RESEARCH
Beyond data collection, CIMA-Q plays a key role in developing best practices by designing standardized procedures, methodological tools, rigorous quality control methods, and integrated platforms supported by expert groups.
2025 SCIENTIFIC EVENT: THE CIMA-Q COHORT TURNS 10!
Once again this year, thanks to the valuable partnership between the Lemaire Family Foundation and CIMA-Q, the Research Centre of the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal (CR-IUGM) is pleased to host the CIMA-Q Scientific Days / 10th Anniversary Edition, on May 15 and 16! This special edition will mark ten years of periodic evaluations with the cohort participants.
We enthusiastically invite you to join us on Thursday, May 15 for the public lecture, and on Friday, May 16 for the 10th Anniversary Scientific Day.
