Formula E – Application of a weak electrical current at the surface of the skull could help compulsive gamblers

Researchers at the Faculty of Medicine could have discovered a new way to treat people having serious problems with gambling. They found that application of a weak electrical current at the surface of the skull can stimulated production of GABA, a key neurotransmitter that is targeted in treatment of other types of addiction, and report these findings in a recent issue of the journal Neuropharmacology.
