The Vins et Festins benefit evening took place on November 7 at the Salle Marie-Renouard of the Institut Universitaire en santé mentale de Québec, to raise funds for the CERVO Foundation, which mainly funds discovery and innovation aimed at better understanding the brain, while contributing to promising initiatives to improve care and education in Eastern Quebec.
The CERVO Foundation recognized the important contribution of the event’s honorary president, Guy Cormier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Desjardins Group. Mr. Cormier presented a generous $1 million donation from Desjardins Group as part of the “Faire la lumière sur le cerveau” fundraising campaign, live from the 2019 Vin et Festins benefit evening! This amount will contribute to a scholarship program to recruit the best post-graduate students in neuroscience and to the construction of a high-tech auditorium at the CERVO Research Centre.
Congratulations to the organizing committee, composed of Ms. Valérie Beaudoin, Director of Philanthropic Development at the CERVO Foundation and Ms. Michèle Poitras, Senior Events Coordinator at the CERVO Foundation.
